President Obama’s Statement on the Economy From: whitehouse | July 23, 2010 | 1617 views The President reports on a busy week of progress in helping restore the economy, providing assistance to the unemployed, and building a strong and secure economic foundation for the future. July 23, 2010. American Constitution. In the summer of 1787, some 55 delegates met in convention in the State House in Philadelphia and devised a new national government, then loosely allied in a “league of friendship” under the Articles of Confederation. The delegates sat almost daily for for four months and argued out their ideas in long, often heated sessions behind closed doors. In mid September they gave to their countrymen the final document, four pages of parchment setting forth a plan of union calculated “to secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.” This document was the Federal Constitution. It provided for a sovereign government with clearly defined powers and responsibilities. In spare, eloquent language, the delegates created a central government with authority in national affairs while reserving local affairs to the States. They steered between the equal dangers of tyranny and ineffectualness with a system of checks and balances: a two-house legislature, one representing the people at large and the other the States; an executive branch with a single head; an independent judiciary; strict limitations on powers granted; a provision for amendments; and the vesting …

Question by ♪♫ ßr0wn Eyǝd G!rl ツ ♥: Do you agree with what I did?
Yesterday, I went to get my hair-cut at a salon that I have been going to for about 2-3 years. The hair stylist that took care of me has done my hair in the past. I specifically told her that I wanted my hair exactly the way the model did in the picture that I brought with me. However, she cut too much off the back. I was very disappointed and didn’t leave her a tip. I honestly, almost cried because it’s the shortest I’ve ever had it in the back and I wanted to call her boss (the owner of the salon) to complain since she wasn’t working yesterday.
Should I just let it go and wait for my hair to grow out but never give them my business again?
I’ve gotten this exact same haircut done about a year ago at the SAME salon but it was done by her boss. I assumed she knew what she was doing cause she has cut my hair as well.

I would talk to the owner and show the owner the picture. You have a very valid complaint and at the very least should have your money refunded. I would not stop going there though, but I would request that I didn’t get that stylist again.

Question by confused and lost: i don’t know what to do with my life. . Im afraid of being a failure help advice please?
Im 22 years old. Im outgoing but shy. Im attractive and have a great personality. I use to be an exotic dancer but i didn’t like the lifestyle and i know its not a career. I don’t know what to do with my life. I’ve tried waitressing and retail jobs they never work out. I’ve tried modeling singing and acting. I don’t want an average boring life with a boring job. But i want a good career. I’ve tried getting my business degree but i lost interest in that. I recently went to cosmetology school and i realized i didn’t want to stand all day doing hair in a salon even though Im good at doing hair its not my passion. Im tired of wasting time and money on school. I never finish anything i always lose interest after a few months. I was thinking of going back to college to be a writer or do psychology. These are the only things that interest me now. I love writing i always have and Im good at it. Im tired of doing nothing productive with my life. I want to have a purpose. Im just afraid to fail again. What should i do?

Here is some good hair salon business model info in Should I Be A Hairstylist?
hair salon business model:
hair salon business plan
Question by Independant Virgo: Should I Be A Hairstylist?
I’m planning on being a novelist, poet and artist [music and fine arts]. But I realize I can’t rely on those careers for a steady income. So I’ve been thinking of becoming a hairstylist as my back up career.
I’ve researched and though it over. I could work in a salon to start off with or take an internship in a film studio or performance theatre. I could even open my own business time down the road like I’ve always wanted to do. Hairstylists get paid decent money and the tips are a bonus. The schools I’ve been looking into offer a 10 month course for roughly $ 6000 and covers everything plus we’d get to go to New York to style hair of real models for a fashion show [in one of the schools].
The career sounds really interesting but I’d like to hear from real hairstylists what the profession is like.
I can’t imagine standing for so long. Is it really a pain in the [a ss] or do you get used to it?
Could a bald person that knows nothing of hair and was never interested in hairstyling before, take a hairstyling course and learn the skills to be a hairstylist? [lol, im not bald. its just so i can understand how skilled these courses will make someone.]
What are the top 3 personality qualities should a hairstylist possess?
Best answer:
Answer by Sydney
If you are interested in becoming a hairstylist, you should be a sociable person who enjoys the company of others and can make conversation easily. You should also be able to work while standing for most of the day, and have good coordination and manual dexterity.
There are all sorts of hairstyle books and magazines available. Read through some of them in order to gain an idea of what styles are popular and the basic steps involved in creating them. Start practicing on yourself and your friends—if they’ll let you!
Being a hairstylist involves a commitment to continuous education, even after getting your certification. To train further, you can take school courses, train at salons, and go to shows that display and demonstrate new products and techniques.
Skills in business are necessary for those who wish to open up their own salon.
