President Obama’s Statement on the Economy From: whitehouse | July 23, 2010 | 1617 views The President reports on a busy week of progress in helping restore the economy, providing assistance to the unemployed, and building a strong and secure economic foundation for the future. Found hair salon marketing plan in Which of these electric plans should I get?

Question by Morgan: Which of these electric plans should I get?
I live in East Texas, and I’ve decided to go with Reliant Energy. I’ve had nothing but trouble from TXU. -_-

Anyways, I live in a one-bedroom flat (second story above a hair salon) by myself. I’m not sure which would be better, the Reliant Energy Monthly eFlex Plan, or the Reliant PowerTracker?

I don’t plan on staying in this location for over a year (probably another 9-10 months) so I have to be able to cancel the service by then. Thanks in advance!

Brief descriptions:

Reliant PowerTracker®
Pay an indexed monthly rate based on the market price of natural gas.
Average price 9.2¢ per kWh, based on 2000 kWh*, includes the following:
Energy charge: 8.9¢
Base charge per month: $ 2.76
Oncor Surcharge: $ 3.11 per month
Contract Term: Month to month
Cancellation Fee: Cancel anytime

Reliant Energy Monthly Flex ePlan
Get a lower rate when you sign up for online conveniences.
Average price 10.8¢ per kWh, based on 2000 kWh*, includes the following:
Energy charge: 10.4¢
Base charge per month: $ 5.00
Oncor Surcharge: $ 3.11 per month
Contract Term: Month to month
Cancellation Fee: Cancel anytime

Answer by Len
Go with the power tracker. Not only is the monthly rate lower per kw, but natural gas is actually getting cheaper and cheaper. Thus, the monthly basis for the usage charge should drop accordingly and you’ll appreciate the savings. You don’t need the flex plan—you’re looking to spend the least necessary while preserving the right to cancel at will without penalty.

Question by Nina: has anyone here started a non-profit organization?
I am seriously thinking about starting one. I have the bylaws, articles of incorporations, a company handbook, and partial business plan. I have not submitted the information to anyone. What is the first step that I take?

Best answer:

Answer by themayorbynight
That depends on the function of your organization. You seem to have everything underway, so I would suggest you petition for a 501-C3 tax form so you can be tax excempt after you incorporate and be on your way.
